And for the experienced fencers…
After a year of juniors only, the club is going to try for a seniors session on Tuesdays from 9th Sept, between 7.30 and 9pm.

The venue is Priestlands School, Lyminton, in the gym, which is the free-standing building to the centre-right of the campus as you come up the main drive.

The cost will be £45 for 6 weeks (half a term).

Please pass this on to any senior New Forest Fencers, since attendance is key to making the session viable.

Merger Gives the New Forest a Fencing ‘Superclub’

Matched by the Lymington Walhampton Fencing Club originally set up by Roy’s coach, Chris Holroyd, the two clubs have recently entered joint teams and each had juniors qualify for the British Youth Championships.

The union of the two clubs has come about with the departure of two key personnel, Robin Catling and Vicki Pritchard, who are moving to Devon. Continue reading

New Year, New Term

We held the first club night of the New Year last week and were inundated with members old and new.

There were about 35 in total with ages ranging from 8 to 21, including Lymington, Sway and Waterside fencers. It was a fabulous night if a little daunting as to where to fit them all!
